What if a major storm knocks out your inventory? Your hardest-working employee is on a three-month medical leave?  A major competitor opens for business just down the block?  In today’s world, life can be perilous for businesses as well as individuals.

Even without unexpected disasters, many small business owners face daily challenges they feel ill-equipped to handle: “I just want to focus on my business—not spend all my time paying bills and keeping track of our business finances.” “I know I’m good at my job, but I just can’t seem to organize the financial end.” “I don’t have time to figure out if I’m making enough money to pay my employees and pay my mortgage!” These are all familiar frustrations you may hear from family or friends who are small business owners.

The CPA firm of Taylor Accounting Group, PLLC can be your guide as you form contingency plans that will allow you to stay in business. The firm also focuses on everyday business issues. Analyzing your company’s finances, performing bookkeeping services, filling in as a “virtual” controller, training of team members in finance and accounting procedures—these are some of the services Taylor Accounting Group offers.

Vic Taylor, senior partner of the Taylor Accounting Group, is a licensed CPA with almost 20 years of experience in a broad spectrum of industries from non-profit to publicly traded companies to public accounting and a small, family-owned business. Each of those positions now provides a broad range of knowledge:  cost accounting, financial accounting, taxes and corporate training. This vast experience allows Vic to easily integrate into any business—and help it thrive.  He is also a public speaker with the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants and certified with several accounting software programs.

Amanda Taylor, Vic’s wife and partner in the firm, earned a degree in Small Business Management from Radford University.  She has two decades of experience in human resources, office management, and basic accounting.  She and Vic are passionate about the success of small businesses. They have lived in the Shenandoah Valley for over ten years and their desire is to ensure that small and medium-sized businesses in the Shenandoah Valley, and beyond, succeed.
